Memorial Day Weekend in Hot Springs

It is easy to fall in love with Hot Springs at any time of year but, Memorial Day weekend is always a Hot Springs hit. Even though this year may look a little different, it doesn’t mean we can’t still kick off summer and enjoy the weekend.

Visit The Veteran’s Memorial of Garland County

On memorial day weekend, visit the Veteran’s Memorial of Garland County, where you can honor United States veterans with an association from this area. The Veterans Memorial is also home to the Fallen Hero Memorial: a bronze statue in the likeness of Hot Springs native and Navy Seal Team 6 Member, Adam Brown.

Float the River

Enjoy a relaxing 6-mile float trip from Remmel Dam to Rockport. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Entergy releases 36 cubic feet a second from Remmel Dam, according to American White Water. There are a few rapids along the river with one larger one at the end, making it a great beginner float.

Cool off at the Lakes

Looking to cool off and play on the lake? Lake Hamilton, Catherine, and Ouachita are currently open for boating, fishing, and swimming.
